  • Marta Jecu is researcher at COLLEGE D’ETUDES MONDIALES PARIS and has been formerly working at the research lab CICANT, Universidade Lusofona, Lisbon. She is also working as freelance curator. She has published in magazines like: E-Flux, Kaleidoscope, Berlin Art Link, Idea Art +Society, Journal of Curatorial Studies, Esse Arts + Opinions and in various books. In 2017 she has initiated the research and curatorial project EXODUS STATIONS, which takes place in various European Ethnologic museums (2017: EXODUS STATIONS # 1 in Museu Carlos Machado Azores and EXODUS STATIONS # 2 in Iwalewahaus Bayreuth). Recent curatated exhibitions: 2018 Solo Show Tadashi Kawamata in MAAT Lisbon, March 2017 -Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris, and in 2016 in galleries like Galeria Baginski (2016). In 2016 she organized the international symposium and screening festival ‘Hybrid Architectures’. She curated DEVOUR Project, a series of three exhibitions and conferences in Berlin at Freies Museum and Zentrum Fuer Kunst und Urbanismus (ZKU) Berlin in 2015 and Leipzig. She edited the volume:s Marta Jecu (Ed.): Subtle Construction, Bypass, Malmo, Lisbon, 2011; OPEN MONUMENT, Revolver Verlag, Berlin. Her volume Architecture and the Virtual was published in 2016 at University of Chicago Press (U.S.) and Intellect Book (U.K.).
